ORDERS & SHIPPING

Where do you ship?
We currently ship anywhere within the contiguous U.S. (48 states). We’ll update our community as we expand shipping to new regions.

How long does shipping take?
Orders are processed within 2–5 business days after purchase. Once shipped, most plants arrive within 3–7 business days, depending on your location. You’ll receive tracking information for every package. Our goal is to get your plant to your doorstep as quickly as we can.

Why did my order arrive in multiple packages?
Some products may ship separately from different greenhouse partners or fulfillment locations. You’ll receive tracking details for each shipment — they may arrive a few days apart.

How much is shipping?
We offer $8 flat-rate shipping on all orders. Orders over $100 ship free (before tax and shipping).

Do you ship during winter?
Yes! We ship year-round with optional Winter Protection available from November through April. This includes heat packs and insulated packaging to help your plants travel safely through colder regions. Be sure to add Winter Protection to your order if the local daytime temperature in your area is below 50°F.

What if my area is experiencing freezing temperatures?
If your area drops below 0°F, we may hold your order until it’s safe to ship. You’ll be notified if that happens.

 


 

RETURNS & GUARANTEE

What if my plant arrives damaged?
Every plant is covered by our 30-Day Healthy Plant Guarantee. If your plant arrives damaged or doesn’t survive its journey, we’ll replace it or issue a refund.

How do I report an issue?
Email us at hello@latierrabendita.com within 30 days of delivery. Please include:

  • Your order number

  • Clear photos of the damaged plant and packaging

We’ll take care of the rest.

Can I return a healthy plant?
Because plants are living things, we don’t accept returns on healthy plants. If your plant arrived in great condition, we hope you’ll enjoy your new leafy friend for years to come.

What if I changed my mind after ordering?
If you need to cancel or edit your order, please reach out as soon as possible. Once a shipping label or tracking number has been created, we can no longer make changes or cancellations.

Do you offer refunds for shipping delays?
Unfortunately, we can’t control postal or courier delays once your order leaves our greenhouse. However, if your plant arrives damaged, we’ll gladly make it right under our 30-day guarantee.

What is Winter Shipping Protection?
Our Winter Protection Add-On includes a multi-day heat pack and insulated packaging to safeguard your plant from cold temperatures during transit.

Do I need to add it?
We highly recommend adding it if your local daytime temperature is below 50°F. Orders shipped without it aren’t eligible for replacements due to cold damage.

What if my order is held because of cold weather?
If your region experiences severe cold (below 0°F), we’ll automatically pause shipping and notify you when it’s safe to send your order.

 


 

PLANT CARE

How are the plants packaged?
Each plant is hand-selected, cleaned, and carefully wrapped to protect leaves, soil, and pots during transit. We use eco-friendly materials whenever possible.

My plant looks a little droopy. Is that normal?
Yes! It’s completely normal for plants to show minor stress after shipping (like a few yellow leaves or bent stems). Give your plant a few days to adjust, and it should perk up once it settles in.

Should I repot my plant when it arrives?
We recommend letting your plant acclimate for at least 2–3 weeks before repotting. This reduces transplant shock and ensures your 30-day guarantee remains valid.

What kind of soil should I use when repotting?
Choose a well-draining potting mix suited to your plant type, for example, cactus mix for succulents or tropical mix for foliage plants.

Do your plants come with care instructions?
Yes, every order includes basic care guidelines, and you can explore our Plant Care Library for detailed tips on every plant we offer.

Are your plants safe for pets?
Some are, and some aren’t. Each care page includes a pet safety section so you can make informed choices for your home.

Where do your plants come from?
Our plants are sourced from trusted greenhouse partners in the U.S. and shipped directly from their facilities to your door. Each is hand-inspected for quality and health before leaving the nursery. 

Do you offer local pickup?
Not yet. At this time, all orders are shipped directly from the greenhouse to your door.

What does “La Tierra Bendita” mean?
It means “The Blessed Earth.” Our name reflects what we believe -  that nature brings calm, connection, and healing, and that caring for plants can help us care for ourselves.

What’s your mission?

Why does La Tierra Bendita talk about mental health?
Because plants and wellbeing go hand-in-hand. We believe nurturing plants is a mindful practice that promotes calm and connection.

Mental health has undoubtedly become one of the biggest red flags of our time. It has become so common to hear that a friend, sibling, parent, or loved one is facing a mental health condition or emotional struggle that, in many cases, the topic seems to have been “normalized” simply because of how frequent it is.

Even though mental health is now part of major media agendas, headlines, and public conversations, it can sometimes fade into the background from being mentioned so often. That is why we want to offer this ongoing reminder: mental health matters, and it should always matter to all of us.
